A sad day....

I'm writing today with a broken heart and I know that getting it out will finally make me cry. My great-grandma passed away early this morning. I think that I'm still in shock.....I don't want to believe that she's gone. I know though, that she's in a better place and that she gets to be with great-grandpa again. We went to visit Dan's grandmother today and I didn't want to spend the whole time crying like I know I need to do so I kind of tucked away my tears. I am so very very sad and I already miss her so very much. She lived a long 93 years and I will never forget her.

Oh Carrie, I am so very sorry to hear that you lost someone so dear to you! I know what a blessing it is to have had Grandparents and that unconditional love they give to us. I can only imagine it must be even more so with a Great Grandparents. She looked like a very smart, together and very pretty lady. I am sure she will be sorely missed. I hope you will be able to share your feelings and memories with your family during such a sad and difficult time.

PS I was just going to tell you I popped in to see what you were up to... I'm going to run over to the store and pick up that cute beach doodle set! I know its not at the top of your concerns right now but I thought just a little happiness on a day like today is something. Take care

oh carrie, i'm so sorry for your loss. cry as much as you need to for as long as it helps. then cherish her memories and celebrate her life. lilly had the great fortune to come along while her great-great-grandma was still alive. how amazing is that?!

Oh Carri ((hugs)) I am so sorry!! My great grandmom was my best friend growing up. She passed away when she was 94. ((hugs)) I so can empathize - just take it one step at a time. Make sure you let those tears out okay ((Hugs))

I am so sorry for your loss. I know I've seen that picture of you and your great grandmother before--did you post it on your blog at an earlier time? I remember it because I thought it was a very sweet picture. I'm glad you have a picture like that to remember her by. I will say a prayer for her.
