So long.....

This will be my last post until my new internet service gets set-up and since I'm installing it myself I don't know how long I'll be without it. So......I hope that everyone has a great week and that you enjoy the springtime weather! And when I come back I'll have some freebies that I'll create during my unpacking breaks so make sure you come back and visit!

credits can be seen here

Finally!!!

I FINALLY got through and was able to set up my cable and internet service, but only after mentioning that I had called all day yesterday and twice today and was disconnected because there weren't any reps available. I have a hard time getting firm on the phone if it isn 't the reps fault since I remember how nasty people can get when I was in the working world. So now that's all set......and we have an appointment for Saturday so Dan won't drive me nuts during the week if we didn't have service. I'm going to try and set up the internet service myself, but I have to wait for the kit to arrive, so I'm estimating I'll be without that for about a week. And then if I have trouble setting it up I have to have a tech come set it up for me. So that's one thing off of my long list of things to do today. At this point, I'm just going to throw things into the box if I'm not done later tonight!!! Anyways, hope everyone has a good day!

Wednesday, March 28, 2007

Well.....today was a bust!!!! Lillian was all over me today since she learned how to stand, but, she only likes standing when she's holding onto my fingers! She'll stand for a couple of minutes and then start to cry if she's holding onto something else like the crib. So needless to say, I didn't get all that I needed to get done. Since she goes down by 9 I can't exactly make all of the noise that I would during the day so I was only able to pack a little bit more without waking her up. So around 10:30 tonight I decided to call it quits and start all over again in the morning. Since I was watching TV I thought I might as well doodle during the commercials so I came up with these and thought I would give them away as freebies!

Mini Randomness

Let me know what you think below! Hope everyone has a better day than I'm anticipating I'll have tomorrow!

And be sure to check out the new products and the full Randomness Doodles (pictured below) which will be in the store soon at www.digiaisle.com!

I HATE COMCAST!!!!

I've been trying to set up our cable and internet service for the past 4 hours, both over the phone and on the internet........I keep getting disconnected on the phone and they say they can't help me over the internet! I'm about to pull my hair out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like I need to lower her crib........again!!! She started using her walker yesterday and although she cried the whole time, she went around 10 or so steps until the walker hit the wall. Lilly still hasn't grasped the whole crawling thing......she gets her whole body down on the floor and extends her arms and picks herself up to get around.....she's pretty fast too! So I'm thinking she might be on her way to walking and skip the whole crawling thing. She's also started "talking" a lot more in the past week. It's amazing how fast they learn new things!

Coming soon

I'm just finishing editing these and when I'm done I'll send them to Sarah to be put into the store! Each doodle will come in black and white! Make sure you go check out all of the new goodies there!!!
Now available only at www.digiaisle.com!

We have a winner!

Mormishmom is the winner of the altered frame from my contest! Congrats!

Today we're stuck inside packing even though it's absolutely B-E-A-utiful outside, but it's worth the sacrafice. As it gets closer to the move I'm getting more and more excited. I'm actually rather proud of myself with the way that I've been packing today.......I seriously think that I have adult ADD but I failed the online test!!! Lillian's room and walk-in are completely packed. Both bathrooms are completely packed as is our walk-in. The only thing that's left to tackle in our bedroom is getting underneath the bed......I don't think there's a lot of stuff under there, but who knows! When I take a break later tonight I'm going to try and make some easter/spring doodles so we'll see how those come out! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend......at least better than mine was.

Aunt Lindsay and Great-Grandma Bombria

We're back....

and we're tired. I think that I'm really starting to get exhausted, and unfortunately I can't take a break. Today was a tough one that ended up being okay. My Aunt asked me to give my great grandmother's eulogy, which at first I was hesitant to do because I know how emotional I can get, but I knew in my heart that I would regret it if I said no. I was so honored that she asked me, especially since there are 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren! I had to take a few deep breathes and a couple of breaks, but I made it. This is a picture of my grandparents........isn't this picture just amazing.....makes me wish I could step back in time!!!

Don't forget...

to enter yourself into my contest for the altered frame which is on my post from the 7th if you use any of my doodles on a layout by the 26th.......only 15 entries so far!

Today I'm doing some packing and I'll be done pretty soon since I only have 3 boxes left! I'm waiting to see if we have more boxes in the trailer once Dan unloads it today.....no point wasting money to buy more if we already have some! Me and Lilly will hit the road tomorrow morning and will come back on Monday after the funeral. It's going to be a long draining week, but we'll get through it........we always do.

Some me time.....

Today me and Lilly dropped of Aunt Lindsay who is visiting one of her friends in Boston. I then came home and did some packing and then decided that I needed to focus on my emotions. When I was a teenager, I struggled with depression as a result of losing my mom when I was 12. I know it's something that my family worries about, especially when something bad happens like when Lillian was born or like losing someone. But, I know that I've changed.....I've matured. I still get sad, and I still know how to have a good cry.....you know one of those cries where it's hard for you to breathe! I just think that I deal with my emotions differently now. I was just turning into a young girl when my mom passed away and I didn't know how to deal with it and I didn't understand why she died so young. I know that this weekend is going to be tough on me. My great-grandma was absolutely WONDERFUL and I am really going to miss her. But like I've told myself before, she's in a better place. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by those that we love for the brief time that we are here. My only hope is that someday we will all meet again.

So I did these lazy doodles a few days ago and decided to finish editing them today while I took a break. I think that scrapbooking is really a wonderful thing for your heart, for your soul and for the legacy you'd like to leave behind. So here are my little "not wanting to get out the watercolors and be lazy" doodles! Let me know what you think below!!

Lazy Doodles!

A sad day....

I'm writing today with a broken heart and I know that getting it out will finally make me cry. My great-grandma passed away early this morning. I think that I'm still in shock.....I don't want to believe that she's gone. I know though, that she's in a better place and that she gets to be with great-grandpa again. We went to visit Dan's grandmother today and I didn't want to spend the whole time crying like I know I need to do so I kind of tucked away my tears. I am so very very sad and I already miss her so very much. She lived a long 93 years and I will never forget her.

A totally scary moment......

that turned out okay. So me and Lilly have a new schedule.......she goes down by 9 at the latest since she still wants her 4th feeding and gets up around 8 (I know......she's a good sleeper!) So this morning I hear her starting to get up and making some sounds. She usually entertains herself for a little bit and will let me know when she's ready to get out. Well apparently this morning she really wanted to get out. It went from making some normal noises to a "thump!" I FREAKED OUT!!!! The little booger climbed out of her crib and fell out! Thankfully, I had some towels folded next to her bed that I hadn't packed yet that seemed to have helped break her fall. When I went into the room, she started laughing as soon as she saw me. I've never seen her climb up anything yet, so although I knew we'd have to lower her crib soon, I didn't think it would be today. So needless to say, in addition to packing, I'll be trying to remember how to lower her crib!

This is from yesterday before her crib incident......but after she had peed all over it!

New doodles!

So here are my newest doodles which are available only at digiaisle.com! I thought that I would do another alphabet since my freebies did so well.
Today I'm working on the bedroom and I have to say I'm not looking forward to it, especially since that's where the computer is.......it keeps saying my name and drawing me in! But I'm going to be strong and put on some music to occupy me. Then during Lilly's nap and my break I'm going to try and do some layouts since it's been awhile!
And don't forget to enter yourself into my contest below (ends next week) if you've used any of my doodles!!!

My schedule....

This is from last week.....it's her first big girl band-aid!!
I made myself a schedule today of when each room needs to be completely packed by, otherwise I know I'd wait until the very last minute! Today I'm working on our closet (which is huge by the way......going to miss that!) and the bathroom. Then tomorrow is the worst of them all.....our bedroom!!!! I don't even want to look under the bed. Then after that I have Lillian's room another day, and then her closet and the other bathroom after that. I left a few things out in the Living room because I didn't want to live in a blank room, so that will have to be packed away. Finally is the kitchen which shouldn't be to tough. Thankfully, the bulk of the packing is done. I just hope it all fits into our trailer. Dan thinks that it will.......I'm just keeping my fingers crossed because I don't want to make a second trip. We just have a lot more furniture now, and all that we have is good stuff since we upgraded from our college decor!!! As long as Lilly's crib, the dining room table and the coffee table don't get any scratches I'll be okay!

I'm working on an alphabet during my mini breaks and will hopefully have that finished later tonight. I'm also going to make a little freebie to coordinate with the below kit so keep a look out for that (although no promises on when I'll actually finish!)

My first set of doodles for sale!!!

I decided to make some doodles while Lillian napped this weekend, opting to pack during the week......have I mentioned that I am a HUGE procrastinator! So these are officially my first set of doodles that are up for sale only at DigiAisle.com! I'm going to try and make two more sets before our cable gets turned off for the move since who knows how long it will be until it gets turned on at the new place! So tell me what you think and let me know what you'd like to see turned into a doodle!

Time to make a difference.....

We were one of the lucky ones. At 3 lbs 1 oz Lillian was one of the largest babies in the NICU when she was born last June. Her neighbor Rocco, only weighed a pound at birth......a pound. I know prematurity is a common thing nowadays.....but it shouldn't be. Each day more than 1280 babies are born premature, and 411 of them are born with birth defects. Our experience, though brief and positive, touched my heart forever. Not too long ago I saw a billboard for March of Dimes which asked for help and I'm ready to give it. If Dan's willing to be my walking partner, I'd like to join Walk America which will be happening this spring. Not only do the proceeds go towards a great cause.....but it also helps get my sorry butt into shape! So Dan.....will you walk with me?!

So.....

it's official!!! I'll be selling my designs! I'm going to start creating some stuff during Lillian's naps next week. There is one very important word that I have to remember though once I get started.......balance. First and foremost comes Lillian, secondly I need to finish packing since we'll be out of here in less than 15 days......and finally.....I have to start going to bed earlier!!! Since Dan has been gone I've been going to bed around 2 a.m. each night at the earliest! So by the time Lillian gets up, I haven't gotten much sleep. I've been going to bed around 11 this past week and I feel a lot better so it's something that I need to stick too. So with lots of suggestions at hand I'll start creating!

You may be wondering where I'll be selling......go check out www.digiaisle.com! Sarah just opened the store today and is offering 25% off of all of her products until the 19th! So if you have more suggestions, let me know! If I decide to use one of your suggestions, I'll send you the doodles for free!

As far as my freebies go.....I'll still be doing one a week so make sure you still come back to my blog.....especially since there will always be cute pics of Lilly!

So here are my fall leaves that I made so I could scrap my wedding pics! Let me know what you think below!

And don't forget to enter my contest below if you use any of my doodles!!!!

We're back....

and I'm glad it's over! We've been traveling to see both of our families for over 5 years and it will be SUCH a huge relief to only have to travel far to visit one! We had a wonderful week and it went by extremely fast (like always!) I tend to do such a horrible job at rememebering to take the camera out and I did it once again this week, but I was able to capture a couple of cute shots.....mainly the two above. Lilly took a bath at Aunt Betsy's and made a huge wet mess, but she had a good time! She did really well at my cousin's baby shower and hardly made a peep! We were only able to see Daddy last Friday since he was away on his first business trip during the week, but hopefully we'll be able to see him again before the move. All I know is that we're DONE traveling.....I'm pooped....plus I need to finish packing!

So we went to meet Lilly's new doctor today and she was absolutely wonderful (which I'm really happy about!) Lilly is 28 1/2 inches tall and is 18 pounds 14 ounces. She said that she's above normal in height and right on target for weight. She did some tests to see how she was doing developmentally and said that she's averaging between a 8-9 months which is great since she's still considered to be 7 months medically.

I made some drawings of fall leaves since I was going to scrap pics of my wedding so I'll share those later after I finish unpacking and starting the laundry. Hope everyone had a wonderful week!

Have a good week.....

So tomorrow we're off once again for a long week filled with lots of time spent in the car (about 10 hours total!) We'll be stopping in Shushan tomorrow, and then leaving Saturday morning for Syracuse for my cousins' baby shower. No plans as of yet for Sunday, Monday or Tuesday....all of which we'll still be in Syracuse. Then on Wednesday we'll be heading back to Shushan since Lillian has her first appointment with her new doctor on Thursday. We'll be leaving after that and coming back here. After that we'll be done with traveling until the move.

I'm going to bring my computer with me and the discs of all of the old pics so I can scrap some of those. I'm also going to bring my watercolor stuff with me and make some of those as well so I'll have something to give away upon my return!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful week and that everyone gets lots of scrapping done.....and remember to enter the contest below if you've used any of my doodles!

Credits can be seen here.

Somehow I missed the first pic when I downloaded the pics the other day. I've been using my headbands on her because I think that the kid ones are WAY too tight.....so this way she looks like a girl and it doesn't hurt her to wear them!!! Isn't she the cutest?!!!

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

This is something that I hesitated scrapping, but it's a part of our lives. These past 3 months could have been far worse, but they still stunk nonetheless! I'm happy that Lillian won't remember what's going on, but I've been sad that Dan has been missing all of her firsts. I am so happy about this move and I am so proud of Dan for following his heart and getting back into engineering. He comes home happy, he isn't tired and he doesn't think about his job over the weekend, which is the way that I think that it should be! And to top things off, he works for an absolutely wonderful company.....Mack Molding.
So Dan, we thank-you for all that you've done for us.....we love you, we miss you, and we'll be together again soon.

Lowercase Alphabet

I'm still undecided as far as the Robeez go, but I know that I'll be going with one of the darker ones since I know that she'll grow out of them fast. Thanks for all of the tips ladies! Maybe I'll let my hubby help me out with the final decision.....key word is maybe!

I tried taking pics of Lillian last night, but the days of her just sitting are over with!!! She kept crawling all around and I wasn't able to get a good shot, mainly because of my poor lighting. Once we move, I'll get a new camera, a new backdrop, some plexi glass and some better lighting so they turn out better!

So here is what I did today while Lillian napped......
And here is the link to dowload....
Let me know what you think below! Also, if you have used any of my doodles in a layout, be sure to enter yourself in the contest below!
Forgot to add- did anyone watch House last night?!! I've never watched it before, but I remembered that Dave was going to guest star on it. I really liked that show!!

Need help deciding!!!

So Lillian is on her way to crawling any day now and I thought that now would be the perfect time to get her some Robeez! I've been waiting for the day when she would finally be able to get some use out of them but now I'm having a tough time trying to decide which ones so here are my top 6.....

I love ladybugs but Lillian looks better in bolder colors because of her skin tone. And then I love the pea in the pod ones because I call her Sweet Pea.....but they're not really girly! As of right now I'm leaning towards the cherries, but I also like the lollipop......I just don't know!!! So which one do you like?

Digidare #26

This is for me and Betsy so she can look at Dave at work! I hope they announce the tours date soon.....I need me some DAVE!!!!! Credits can be seen here.

Numbers!

I was able to these today since they really don't hurt my hand and I don't have to do much editing in PS. So here is the link to download....
Let me know what you think below!

Come back way later for some....

Numbers! Me and Lillian have to go to her doctors today to hand in her release form and then we head to the dreaded Wal-Mart (I hate that place) to look for a wrist brace for me. I've been having issues with my pinky and ring finger going numb and everything is pointing towards carpal tunnel. Well.....last night while I was editing in PS, I had this horrible shooting pain in the same arm. So I think that it may be time to get some support. I have to get a new doctor in VT since my current doc isn't covered under our new insurance so I'll be seeing one as soon as I find one. Since it's my left hand, I figure painting with my right won't hurt it! So I'll be back later today with some numbers to go along with the alphabet. I'll be working on the lower case throughout the week and have those posted before I leave! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Soft, warm, pinkalicious baby hat anyone?

So I made this baby hat with the intent of giving it to a family member, but then realized it will be way too warm by the time she's born. I basically had a hat making frenzy! Since it's too small for Lillian to wear (for a newborn), I thought that I would offer it to someone.

I know I've been in a gift giving mood lately, but really, I have all of this stuff on hand and it only costs a couple of bucks to send via the post office. I figure it's the least I can do with all of the visitors I've had the past month leaving me all of the wonderful comments. So if you'd be able to use this, or know of someone that would be able to use it, leave me a comment below along with your email address. I'll accept names until this Thursday before I leave and let Lillian pick a name.....hopefully I'll be able to read it before she sticks it in her mouth!!!

Watercolor Alphabet

So here's my watercolor alphabet! Let me know what you think below and if you'd like to see some numbers with it! TFL~

Watercolor Alpha

Want these?

So first I'll offer these tags to anyone that wants them. I made them when I was still working....I think that I was going to attach them to some cookies that I made for my co-workers or something but I forgot about them. Anyways, if someone wants them they're yours. There are 14 of them and each one has a hemp cord. If I get more than one response I'll let Lilly pick one person later tonight. Be sure to include your email too!

Friday, March 02, 2007

Miss any of these?

If you did I've got the new links to 4shared since I exceeded my bandwidth with box.net.

St. Patty Watercolors

Family Stick Doodles

Watercolor Wonders

Pure Joy

Let me know what you think below! I'm working on my first alphabet and should have them done this weekend so make sure you stop back by.....and if they turn out okay I'll be making some numbers as well!

Look what I can do Daddy!!!

Some decisions made, some doodles drawn....

So tonight I started working on the free custom name doodles that I gave to some wonderful ladies that commented on my blog and I started thinking (sorry they're so late ladies......packing got in the way....as well as the computer!) I *think* that I would like to pursue selling my doodles. I think that with time, I can perfect them. But I think that I need to wait until the move. So, over the upcoming weeks, I will continue to practice and continue to give away freebies (which is something that I will always do.) March is going to be a VERY busy month for us and I'll be gone for a whole week so I know that I need to focus on is the move. And knowing me, I won't feel settled in the new place until everything is for the most part unpacked.....plus I'll have a little one on the go so I'll really need to get my butt into gear as far as the unpacking goes. So, first I'm going to finish the name doodles which should be done by tomorrow (I want to edit them all at the same time so I don't get bored!) Then it will be onto some more freebies!

I'd like to thank all of you that take the time to visit my blog each day! I've really been having lots of fun the past few weeks and reading all of the fun comments.

So here's a question for all of you! What is one thing that you splurge on?! What's the one thing that you pay way more than you would ever normally pay for something? For me, it's my hair. I have really thick hair.....and when I say thick I mean THICK!! When I lived in Buffalo I was talking to one of co-workers telling her how much trouble I had finding a good hairdresser and that I was really picky because a lot of time needs to be spent on cutting my hair correctly. So she gave me a recommendation and along I went. First off.....I had never been to a high end salon and never paid more than $25 to get my hair cut. He spent over an hour cutting my hair and I was absolutely amazed. Now here is where I splurged......my shampoo!!!! Mind you I get the large bottle that is the same size as that TRESemme stuff, but it's still $50! So you might be wondering what it is that I use.....it's called Bumble and Bumble and for those of you who haven't experienced.....please do! My hair thanks me everyday! I haven't had my hair cut since before Lillian was born and I'm in desperate need of one, so I just happened to check their website here and it got me thinking about splurges. So, tell me, what's your splurge.......and if you have a great splurge you might even get a little gift (be sure to leave your email addy......only one winner!)
