So today I thought that I would try out some different props and when I went around the house, I remembered that Lilly tends to climb into this thing a lot so I thought I'd give it a try. She wasn't loving being put in there, so I put some cookies down at the bottom and that seemed to work! I also have an old scale that I got off of ebay that I did some test shots with her baby. I just needed a little break from the computer and thought it'd be fun to test things out again!

I don't think I've ever posted other than to say thank you for freebies, but I wanted to say I kind of know how you feel. I'm more of a 40% kind of gal, too. I dropped out of college, never find a career I was really happy with, and then I became a mom and it's been great. I, too, stay home with my children but I've always wished I could contribute more to my family. I'm still looking. I've always loved photography, but I've never had the guts to follow through with it. I'm glad I found your blog because I always love seeing your photos. I'm glad you found the confidence to start your own business and I'm sure you'll do wonderfully! Having your heart in something makes all the difference :)
I like the crock images. VERY CARRIE!!! The verticals work best for this subject. The bottom horizontal would be better if Lilly and the crock were on the left. You want your subject to walk or look into the frame, never out. Avoid large areas of nothing that add nothing to the story. Try putting some cookies part way down into the crock so that all we see is her tutu and striped leggings dangling out. Keep it up!!! Dad
