We're back and some quirks!!!

We had a wonderful weekend in Syracuse and the drive out there was way better than our drive to MA.....the people drive CRAZY there!!! Lillian wore the cutest little dress, sadly I forgot my camera once again! So now that we're back, I'm going to continue with the unpacking, continue to learn how to make papers and elements, and do some more research on getting a Wacom.

Anyways, Lauren asked us to blog again......this time about our little quirks. Mine is something that I HATE. Without fail.....everytime I do something new and exciting......I vomit!!!! Gross I know!! Every year on the first day of school I would do it, when I know I'm meeting someone new that day I do it, when we go on vacation I do it!!!! Thankfully I always have that urge in the morning and nothing really comes up......and no I'm not doing it on purpose! So it's a strange quirk, but I always know that it's something that's going to happen and I'm pretty much used to it by now!!!

So we're headed off to Syracuse for the weekend to celebrate Easter....better late than never!!! We decided to hold off for a few weeks since Easter was the weekend after we moved. Next week when we get back I'm going to finish up my doodles, do some more unpacking and start picking paint for the 3rd bedroom. I think that I'm going to get a Wacom....still need to do some research though. And then there's still the ever important new camera which I'll hopefully be getting next month. I will celebrate you

I couldn't help myself!!! My Uncle Tony used to put Cheerios on me and Betsy, and I thought that it was finally Lillian's turn! She kept taking them off and eating them......it was so darn cute!!

So you know how when you start one thing, and you'd like to start another, but you realize you really won't feel content until you finish the first thing (make any sense???!!!!) That's how I'm feeling now!!! I'd like to start doodling, but I feel like I shouldn't until the house is all unpacked!! We picked up the rest of our essentials this weekend so now I have more boxes to go through. I'm hoping to have everything where it should be by the end of the week. Then the only thing left to do within this place will be buying a decorative area rug for the living room, buying a rug for under the kitchen table, a rug for the 3rd bedroom as well as painting that room. Then, I'll be all done! Anyways, here is a pic of the Living room. I still have a few more decorative things to do, in addition to adding the area rug, but for the most part I'm all done! Time to Bake!!!

I love to bake!!! It's one of those memories of my mom that I treasure most. She would bring our Care Bear picnic table into the kitchen and me and my sister would do all of the frosting. I can remember that when she would make pie crusts she would get SOOO frustrated when she would get a hole in it.....she would always say, just listen to the Beatles and everything will be alright....probably one of the reasons why I love them so much!! Anyways, over at the Sweet Shoppe blog, Lauren asked us to blog about our favorite recipe and for me zucchini bread is my absolute can't live without it sweet treat. I hate zucchini, but I guess once you add a ton of sugar and oil, zucchini isn't so bad!!!

A beautiful day!!!

What wonderful weather we are having here!!!! It is going to be so nice to finally be able to open the windows and start going outside. Me and Lilly are going to start taking daily walks and hopefully there is a park nearby that we'll be able to visit as well. The above pic is from yesterday after me and Lilly returned from Staples. I got the newer version of Elements and I started learning how to do some designing yesterday and I'll continue to try and learn at least one new thing a day so I can eventually start designing other stuff. I'll also start doing some doodling as well. This weekend we're going to get the rest of our stuff so that everything will be here that we need so I can finalize where everything is going to go. That way I can clean out the 3rd room so I can paint it. Hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and that the weather is nice where you are.

BTW- anyone know how much it costs to rent a Rug Doctor??

Even though I only have 3 products at digiaisle.com, I thought that it would be a good idea to put them on sale to get my butt into gear to start creating some new stuff! I really need to get that new camera soon so I need to start bringing in some dough......even if it's pennies compared to what Dan makes!!! Anyways, I'm going to start learning how to make papers and elements and such, but I won't release anything until I create something that I would use myself......so I might be at it for awhile!!!! I've decided that we won't be able to do the March of Dimes walk this year. My heart was in the right place, but between unpacking and taking care of Lillian I haven't had enough time to do any doodles that would go towards the charity doodle pack. So I guess I'll plan on doing it next year which will give us more time to raise some money!

Grocery shopping and doodles!

So today me and Lilly are going to do some grocery shopping which is way cheaper here than it was in MA!!!! I bought a lot more stuff our first shopping trip and it still cost me $40 less! After that I'll be getting my watercolors out and start doing my doodles. I'm planning on having around 50-75 doodles in a mega pack that will be $5, all of which will go towards the March of Dimes. I had to change our location again because the walk in Rutland is at the end of the month and that really doesn't give me a lot of time so we'll be walking in Brattleboro now since it's not until May.

So the walk for the March of Dimes in Bennington looks like it's been cancelled so it's been moved to Rutland. I still plan on walking as long as Dan is okay with it. I'm going to start doodling tomorrow and hope to create a bunch and have them available by the end of the week. I cleaned out the guest bedroom last night so that the floor isn't covered and Lillian's room has been cleaned up too. I still have some work to do like decorating and putting up some rods in the closet for all of her clothes, but we made some progress. Dan will be home on Thursday and we'll be happy to see him!

Easter Sunday!

Dan left for Indianapolis today so Grandma and Aunt Lindsay came over for Easter dinner. This week we're going to unpack the upstairs and finish painting the staircase wall. I'll also do a freebie once I get the scanner set up tomorrow so be on the look out for that. And I'll share some more pics as well!

I'm back....

OMG!!! That was quite the experience!!! Last week was really tough, both emotionally and physically. At one point I actually just had to go into the closet to cry because I was so exhuasted! But, we're home and the move is over. We packed up Dan's trailer on Friday and thankfully everything fit......just barely though! Then on Saturday we unpacked. At this point, there are still a lot of boxes to unpack. My main goal this week was painting the family room so we can lay down some new carpet this weekend. There is a slate border around the perimeter of the room and while it's beautiful, it's not very child friendly, nor warm. So I finished painting the main part yesterday and tomorrow we'll get the carpet. After that I'll be able to focus on unpacking which really shouldn't take too long. Dan is leaving for a business trip on Sunday and will be gone till Thursday and then he does the same thing the week after that. I've got plenty of stuff to keep me busy though and it's not like I'm not used to being alone now! Although.....it's been nice getting into bed each night and having him next to me.

So once I find the stuff that connects my camera to my puter I'll share some pics. I'll also create a freebie next week while I'm creating the frame that I gave away to mormishmom so be sure to come back. Glad to be back and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
