Our weekend.....

was a pretty uneventful one. We started Saturday driving around looking at houses that are for sale in the area and taking off beat roads.....actually now that I think of it, almost every road in Vermont is offbeat. After checking out some houses, we stopped at the Chiselville Covered Bridge in East Arlington.....
I went down the really steep hill to try and get some shots below, and while I was able to get down there, the water was way too cold and I didn't have the proper footwear to put my camera gear in that sorta danger so I decided to save it for next summer. After that it was lunch time. I of course wanted to head to my favorite lunch spot Zoey's. It was packed as can be expected.......Manchester gets really busy with all of the yuppies this time of year coming up to spend their money at the outlets. Since it was so packed we decided to go to the park, which was also packed, but with kids playing soccer so that was nice! Lillian did some "walking" around....After that, Dan had a headache so we headed on home. Today nothing much went on, just chilling out at home. Nothing really planned for the week ahead other than designing. I set a schedule for myself and what needs to be completed by a certain date to get myself back on track. My buddy's back....

Since having Lillian, Abby has sorta taken a backseat. She avoids Lillian, which I don't blame her since Lilly like to stick her little fingers in her eyes. Before having Lillian, Abby was always with me. She kept my feet warm at night and she was my TV watching buddy. But after Lillian was born, she avoided me and kept her distance. Recently though, she's been coming back to me. She started sleeping on the bed again when we moved to Vermont, and most recently, she started joining me when I was on the computer. So now not only do I have to deal with Lillian trying to pound her little fingers all over the computer, but I also have to deal with Abby sprawled all over my wacom!!! It's nice to have her back though.......now if I can only get her to like Lillian!

Not sure what we're going to do this weekend. It's supposed to be nice here so I'd like to be able to catch a few autumn shots as the leaves change. Anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend......and don't forget about my coupon below and my kit sale at My Digital Muse!!

Wanna help me clean.......

this little mess up?! Lillian has been having a little bit too much fun with her little fork lately and sticking her food everywhere but in her mouth! She's been picky lately and really isn't eating as much as she used too. She'll shake her head no and pucker up her lips and breathe through her nose to let me know that she doesn't want to eat.....it's really too funny.....I should record her sometime! Anyways, I just thought that this pic was too cute and had to share! I hope that everyone has a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead. Not too sure what we're going to do here. Maybe go look at new cars again......I'm still set on that '07 Subaru Outback, but I guess I should look at other stuff too.......just as long as it isn't a minivan!!!

The weekend is supposed to be nice though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to capture some of the amazing colors that are in Vermont this time of year. Peek-a-boo!

Lillian just loves wearing my shoes.....actually she loves wearing any shoes! She's been putting her own shoes on for the past couple of weeks and she even puts them on the right feet. She hasn't taken more than one step since Sunday which is okay......she'll take more when she's ready. The cable guy today and installed our new phone line and all I can say is YAY!!! I've been so sick of our cell phone service lately so I'm looking forward to talking on the phone without the call being dropped and actually receiving voicemails and seeing when I've missed calls! Not much going on tomorrow that I know of. I'm just going to work on an alpha that I've been working on the past week so hopefully I'll get that finished. HUGE NEWS IN THE BOMBRIA HOUSE!!!

It happened.....it finally happened!!! Lillian walked!!!! I seriously don't think I've ever been so happy in my life! She started standing on her own only a few days ago so I certainly wasn't expecting it this soon. It was late last night and she was holding onto the coffee table and she let go and was just standing there. I just happened to be on the floor close to her and told her to come to mommy......and she did!!! She went around 5 steps and then fell. But the good thing is that she seemed to enjoy it and got up another 5 or so times and kept on doing it! I think she eventually got sick of falling and stopped. I didn't have the camera near by, but today I've got it all ready to go so hopefully I'll be able to catch something this week!

Some wonderful news and some new pics!

Well.....I'm going to be an aunt to a baby girl!!!!! How exciting is that?! I thought that she was going to have a boy up until her first sono where they thought it was a girl. So now I get to go shopping since I've held off up until this point.....no point getting a bunch of yellow and green stuff! Now it'll be time to start working on her invites and thinking of stuff to make for the baby shower. So there's a big YAY!!!

Secondly.....big news in the Bombria house......we're getting a home phone!! I know, silly stupid big news! We've been using our cell phones as our "home" phone since we left Buffalo and while it worked out okay when we were in Massachusetts, it's not working so well since we moved to Vermont. We don't receive all of our messages, missed calls don't even show up, and we have to stand next to the window to get full antenna! We were fine in the beginning when it was still Cingular, but after AT&T bought them out, our service has sucked. So we'll be getting our new phone through the cable company next Tuesday. And yes Pat, you can call us to your heart's content now since we won't have to worry about our minutes anymore!!!

So last night I went out to shoot some pics. I intended on shooting downtown Bennington, but it was completely packed and I couldn't find a parking spot. I think that I'm going to wake up really early tomorrow morning when no one is down there so I can pay more attention to things. I was able to stop at the Bennington Museum of Arts (I think that's what it's called) and shoot the wind sculptures and then to the Grandma Moses schoolhouse. Oh and Lillian took her first bubble bath yesterday......she was a little confused at first, but then she warmed right up to them!!

Blehhhh.....

that's how I feel today! I'm not in a bad mood or anything, just a bleh mood! If you haven't heard by now, MDM is closing. I'm really happy for Holly and her new ventures and I know that I would do the same thing in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. You always have to follow your heart, and you can tell by her enthusiasm that that's exactly what she's doing! Of course I'm sad to be leaving MDM. It's such a wonderful community and the other designers, creative muses and members are just wonderful people. So what this means for me is that I need to find a new home! I'm taking a break to re-group and such and will get back to designing either tomorrow or the next day. I have ideas and such but thought it was important to take a "me" day!

In other news, Dan truck just got a new water pump (is that right ) and thermostat. It seems like he's been having bad luck lately with the darn thing so hopefully this is it for awhile. Send positive truck vibes to Dan's beloved truck please!! We went to the Subaru dealer and they had the most beautiful Outback I've ever laid eyes on. It's charcoal grey and has all the bells and whistles that we need.....and it's brand spankin new! We're still waiting until the end of this year or early next year, but it doesn't hurt to start shopping!

I've been feeling kinda icky today and last night was a rough one. It was chilly in here and then Lilly got up in the middle of the night and wouldn't go back down. So today was a slow one for me and I knew I just wanted to look at the pics that I took yesterday so that's the only thing that I did on the computer today. Here's one of Lilly in the carrier that we picked up this past weekend.... I need to work on the ones from the nursery a little more. They had these scarecrows that were dressed up like the characters from the Wizard of Oz.....it was really way too cute!

Another quickie....

We had a really fun filled day here today filled and I'm happy to report that I took lots of pics! First we headed to the Equinox Valley Nursery for what will become a family tradition to get our pumpkins! They have a lot of really cute scarecrows all over the place and it was just really neat looking. They have wagons (which we need to get for Lilly because she absolutely loved it!) for the pumpkins so Dan enjoyed pulling Lilly around.....and when we picked out a pumpkin for Lilly we put it in the wagon next to her and I was telling her it was hers and she kept patting her hands on her chest as if she was saying "it's mine, it's mine!"


Then after the pumpkin patch, we headed to Manchester really quickly so Dan could pick up some new t-shirts and for some lunch at Zoey's. THEN (I told you it was a busy day!) we went to the Bennington Antique Car Show that was held at the old Race Track in Pownal....
and Dan's dream truck (someday Dan don't worry!)


Finally on the way back we headed to the Apple Barn (the one that was on that episode that Rachel Ray did in Vermont) and picked up some cider donuts and cider....mmmmmmm!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Dan's home!!!

way we weren't planning on. It's raining right now anyways, so me and Lilly will just go with him and we'll eat out for dinner. Me and Lilly had a wonderful day yesterday. I needed to get some new jeans so we headed up to the outlets in Manchester. Then we headed to Zoey's and I got a turkey on rye (which is absolutely amazing btw.....they make their own bread each day and it just makes my mouth water thinking about it!) So we got lunch to go and headed to the park in Manchester. Lilly enjoyed crawling all over the place and rolling down the little hill. We even headed over to the swings and she got to swing with all of the other kids around which she absolutely loved. I know she's really going to love the play group. Then we headed over to the marble quarry that they turned into a swimming hole. It's really neat there and it'll be a fun place once LillyWell we picked up Dan from the airport last night after being gone for the week and we're happy to have him back with us! His flight was an hour late and they left his luggage in NYC so we have to go back today and get it, which isn't a huge problem.....just another hour drive each (and any subsequent kids) get old enough....there's certainly no shallow end there!! Anyways, here's one shot of Lilly at the park trying to drink my Dr. Pepper!

Grab Bag Weekend...

at MDM!!I think that me and Lilly might go to the park in Manchester today even though it's 30 minutes away. I'm just going to get away from the computer today since I spent the WHOLE DAY on it yesterday....I was up until 2 a.m. getting the grab bag ready.

Oh I think I forgot to mention.....I put myself on the waiting list for a Tracy Joy camera bag!!! Her list is way long so I'm not expecting to hear from her for quite some time, but I'm really looking forward to not only getting a cuter bag, but also one that is a lot roomier! Taking a break....

Well today was a little more productive than the previous two.....key word is "little!" I'm just about to finish up a paper pack that will be going into my grab bag and then tomorrow I'm going to try and create another 2 (I already have one.) I'm not sure who I'm kidding when I say I'm going to have stuff ready two weeks ahead of time when I know that I work better under pressure....always have always will! So we went to eat at Grandma Bombria's tonight which was a nice break from everything. I of course brought my camera along and snapped a few pics. It's becoming a lot harder to take pics of Lilly since she's all over the place but I figure it's great practice! Anyways, here's one shot of her behind my ever so favorite backdrop (Pat's barn of course!)....and a pic of some flowers that I bought the other day....


Oh and I think I forgot to talk about Lillian's doctor appointment that she had the other day! She's up to 22 lbs and 31 inches tall (normal weight and a little above average for height.) The doctor said that she's doing really well. I asked her (like I always do) how she's doing developmentally since I'm always concerned about when she'll be caught up since she was a preemie. She said that she's completely caught up with the exception of her not walking yet, which as can be expected will be a little delayed. She said that typically the motor skills are the last thing to catch up so that was a relief. I really haven't been worrying too much about the walking because I know she'll do it when she's ready, but it's good to know that I'm doing everything possible to help her along! We're hoping to start a playgroup next week and hopefully I'll have a chance to meet other mom's in the area, but I don't know the details of the group yet so I guess we'll see. Anyways, I've babbled way too much and need to get back to work!

Still suffering....

So I still have my migraine that started yesterday. It's been a long time since I've had a migraine like this, but I used to get them so often when I was a teenager that I think that I just learned to get used to them. It seemed like I was in the nurse's office at least once a month to give myself a shot. So I haven't spent much time on the computer today. I tried taking pics of Lilly the other day in front of the white blanket but she just wasn't having it. I guess she's in that "I'm not sitting still and I don't understand what you're telling me to do" phase! I tried to keep her occupied but nothing seemed to work. So today, we just sorta chilled out and then later tonight we went to Tractor Supply to see if they had one of the litter box things that automatically clean. They didn't have one so I guess we'll have to get one later this week......I just hate cleaning the cat litter!! So I'm going to try and finish up some papers tonight for the grab bag this weekend and then I'll start working on another kit tomorrow.

Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow so I can take some shots.....I guess we'll see!

Just a quickie....

It's a yucky day outside which can only mean one thing.....cleaning day! I'm taking a break from the puter today and I'm going to take some pics of Lilly after the my large white fleece blanket gets cleaned. Lilly tripped last night and bit down on her lip.....I've never seen the poor thing bleed....even when she was in the NICU! She was all better with a few moments, I think that I was the one that was more upset! Anyways, I had to take some pics yesterday for my photography class and although I still need to take one more pic since it started raining before I could finish, I was able to capture this pic of some roses that are next to the garage....
and one of my cute shoes (which are still killing my feet btw!)....

A long day!

Well today I decided that we needed to go to BJ's to get some more diapers and wipes and what not. I'm buying Lillian's cloth diapers on Friday, which will be a change.....it seems like we've been using disposables forever now. But at least when we have another baby we'll only have to buy the second size. So while we were out in Saratoga I thought I would check in with Lens Crafters to see if they had my lenses in yet......they did.....and they never called! After that we stopped at Old Navy and I picked up some really cute shirts which I really need. Ever since having Lilly my style has kinda slacked since she comes first. It's only been recently that I decided that I need to feel good about myself as well. They have a ton of stuff that is half off for some sort of fall preview sale. So after Old Navy I headed over to the shoe store. I've been loving all of Rocket Dog's shoes and I tried a pair on in Manchester and they just didn't look right on my feet. But today I finally found a pair that I liked and that looked right......aren't they way too cute!! They have a buy one get one half off sale right now, but for the life of me I didn't think that anything else would look right on me. I have until next Saturday to buy the other pair at half off so we may take another trip out there. Nothing else really going on. I'm going to do some doodling with a marker today instead of on the wacom and scan them in since I know how to do it properly now......I guess we'll see. I'd like to have at least a couple more products ready for this weekend and then create at least a few more next week for the grab bag weekend. We'll see what Lilly will allow!

A busy day!
