I finally finished....

and I did it all in one day!! Whew!! I really wanted to finish the kit in time for $2 Wednesday over at My Digital Muse and thankfully I did!

The week ahead

So tomorrow I'm going to start working on a new kit. I'd like to have it finished by the end of the day since I already have a ton of ideas written down, but I'm not going to hold my breath. My photo class at MDM started today and I'm so stoked! One day a week, I'm going to have Dan's and Lillian's dinner ready so I can go out and take pics on my own without having to worry about anyone or anything. I'm thinking of starting my own photo project that I'd like to call "Vermont's knocking"......I want to take pics of historic doors throughout Vermont....I'm strange I know! Today was my scrap day and I was able to complete 3 layouts which is huge for me!! I've been such a slacker when it comes to scrapping and I'm going to start setting aside one day a week to make sure that I'm able to scrap. So here's what I created today...Every single thing was created by the amazing Lauren Grier and you can pick up everything here in her store!

Saturday....

was a wonderful day! It rained in the morning, but ended up being a beautiful day afterwards. We headed to Manchester to pick up a birthday gift and get Dan a new wallet since his old one is in the bottom of Lake Champlain!! On our way home I asked Dan if we could stop at the old cemetery in Shaftsbury because it has such beautiful old stones. There were so many little ones for all of the children. I just loved the detail that was put into each stone. Then after that Dan was going to return some stuff at NAPA but they ended up being closed. So I thought it was the perfect time to swing up to the old first church in Bennington and stop at Robert Frost's grave and take some pics. I know it might seem like a strange place to take pics, but these old cemeteries are absolutey amazing. Tomorrow is Lauren Day again so I can finish what I started (my layouts) and then I'm going to work on something new to release this week. Anyways, here's some of the pics I took yesterday.....

I must have lost my mind!!!
So today we're staying inside because it's REALLY humid out.....I can barely stand hot weather, much less when it's hot AND sticky!! No real plans this weekend although I'd like to go for a walk tomorrow with Dan and Lilly. I need to stop in Manchester to pick up some stuff so that might have to count as our walk if it rains all weekend like the weather report said yesterday....although I never take it seriously because they tend to be wrong 50% of the time! Other than that we have a birthday party on Sunday so it will be a laid back weekend. I'll probably go to BJ's to pick up some diapers next week and I think that will be the last box we'll be buying since I'll be getting some more Fuzzi Bunz for Lilly. We skipped the second size so at least that's all we'll have to buy when we have another baby. I've been trying to use my camera every day now that things have calmed down a bit. The photography class that I signed up for at My Digital Muse starts soon and I'm really looking forward to that. I've been reading my manual (again) and things are soaking in now. I think that I have a good "eye" but I know that I need help with the technical side of the camera.....so basically I still have lots to learn. So I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!!

Stayed up way too late.....again!!

Well it's 1:30 in the morning and here I am on the computer! I just finished up another item that went into the store at MDM...When I get up this morning I'm going to do some cleaning and do some scrapping since Lauren created a bunch of stuff last week that will surely keep me busy for the day! Me and Lillian played outside for a bit and while I was raking up the grass, she was just walking all around and playing with the sand. So I see her go towards her kiddie pool and saw her get into it.....remembering that Dan had dumped the water out the night before. Well it sprinkled a little bit this morning so there was a teeny bit of water in there so she started splashing it all around. Then once she decided to move on to something else, she thought it would be fun to play in the sandbox! She was a little messy, and a little wet.....but she had a good time and that's all that mattered! She used her little walker outside today (finally....she'd only use it inside up until this point) and she loved it! She also stood on her own twice this past weekend. Anyways, here's a pic for Grandma...

Finally home!

What a weekend!!! I think that we did a pretty good job and I hope that Betsy and Justin feel a little more comfortable in their new home now that it's a little more unpacked! I brought my camera with me but forgot to take pictures so I guess I'll have to take some the next time I go home. Their new house is really cute and it has stunning hard wood floors throughout. Betsy was a little sleepy which I kinda expected since she's 11 weeks. I slept soooo much my first trimester! So we came home today and it was a really stinky drive. The traffic was horrible and there was so much construction! Thankfully Lilly slept through the whole thing which was great because once she becomes crabby in the car, she stays like that the whole ride. This week I think that I'm going to do some doodling, make some "plain" papers and finally go up to the old church in Bennington like I was supposed to during Dan's vacation to take some pics. I had some issues last night with my Atomic Cupcake actions but I finally figured it out so I was able to finish up my kit this morning before we leave...

A little preview....

Here's a little preview of my finished papers.....I'm working on the elements and hopefully I'll finish everything today before me and Lilly leave tomorrow. Other than that I have to do the laundry (my least favorite household chore!!) and get packed. Dan's truck is getting fixed today and the total was below the $4oo mark we were hoping it wouldn't go over, so not to bad. Apparently he needs a whole new ignition.....oh well!!! He's going to be on houseboat on Lake Champlain this weekend with a bunch of other guys from work. I can picture it now......I see lawn chairs, fishing rods, a bunch of food.....and what am I leaving out.....oh yeah.....lots of beer!! It'll be good for him to get out and relax a bit! Oh....I almost forgot, if you have any name ideas for the kit let me know.....it sorta has a funky Asian flair so something along those lines....if I pick your name you win the kit (be sure to leave me your email addy!)

New Kit!!

My first full kit just hit the store at My Digital Muse....

For my first attempt at a full kit I'd have to say it turned out pretty good!! I had some creative mojo today so I thought that I better work while it was still around! You can pick it up here!

So if anyone can send any positive vibes our way I'd appreciate it.....nothing major.....just Dan's truck. A guy went and looked at it today since it's parked in his cousin's driveway. He said that there's something wrong with the ignition so we have to take it to a dealer and taking it to the dealer can only mean one thing....$$$$$$$$!!!! They charge way too much, but we don't have a choice! We only have 2 months left for his payments (really looking forward to a little break).....we're going to wait to buy him a new truck until next year since he won't be trading this one in.....men and their toys! I'd like to get a new vehicle at the end of the year.....guess we'll see what type of sales the dealers are having to get the 2007's off their lots....I just want to get rid of it before it hits 100,000! Anyways, I talked way too much and I need to get ready for Dan to pick me up.....gotta call AAA to tow the darn thing!!!

This has been such a busy week for me and I still have some more things to do like making a blinkie, banner ad, etc. but I think that for today I'm going to take a break! I'm going to use some of the fab stuff that I picked up in the grab bags on Friday at MDM and do some scrapping today for a change of pace. I might even take a little nap while Lilly takes one too! Lillian absolutely LOVES her daddy! Each day when he comes home I open up the door and as soon as she sees him she starts jumping up and down and screeching! Now I know that she loves me, but I figure she sees me all day long and by that point she's ready to look at someone new. As soon as he walks inside, she won't let him leave her side so when he goes to change his clothes Lilly HAS to follow! It's really way too cute! We're going to do some running around with Grandma today which will be a nice break from the computer so I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!! And I'll work on a little freebie that will coordinate with one of my new sets that go on sale on the 15th at My Digital Muse!

A little breather.....

Well it's been one busy week for me and thankfully it's been too hot to venture outside much so I've been a bit glued to the chair at the computer desk getting ready for my stuff going into the store over at My Digital Muse. Having a little one around doesn't make it much easier, but things will slow down soon. I'd like to keep myself on a schedule and create at least one new thing a week. That way, I'm still creating, keeping up with my household chores and most importantly spending quality time with Lillian. I've been trying to take pics of her but she is soooooo drawn to the camera lens and try to put her sticky fingers all over it so I haven't been shooting much this week. I'm going to set aside 30 minutes a day to read the manual and I still need to get the Magic Lantern book to help me a little more.....I really want to master this thing! Anyways, here's a stinky shot of Lillian (she's cute....just a bad shot!)....Oh and before I forget.....My Digital Muse is having a hybrid call which ends on the 15th so make sure you apply (check out the call here at the bottom of the page!)

MY BIG NEWS!!!!!

In other news Lillian is back home with us! Her speech seems to be more pronounced and she seems to getting around a lot better.....in just 5 short days....guess it just goes to show you that they really do grow up too fast! The weather is yucky here today so we're stuck inside and probably won't get to go see the fireworks! I hope to get a little drawing in tomorrow but we'll see.....I'm going to make a schedule for myself for the week from now on to include house chores and time on the computer to draw so we'll see how that works out! Anyways, hope that everyone has/d a wonderful 4th!!

Our mini vacation....

So Lilly has been in Syracuse since Friday and me and Dan are just hanging out (and not knowing what to do with ourselves!) Yesterday we ran some errands in the morning and then went fly-fishing around 5. I actually had one on my line and started bringing it in and it jumped off so we'll give it another try later today! Here's a shot of Dan fishing...

So I was thinking about the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and in my case it's really true. I'm so happy that Lilly is spending that one on one time in Syracuse with my family, but it makes you realize what a wonderful gift parenthood is. My everyday life is centered around this little girl and I would do anything in the world for her.....and I just feel lost without her. I guess this time apart has made me treasure being a mother even more. And let me tell you.....I can't wait until Wednesday when we go to pick her up! In the meantime, me and Dan will enjoy our free time together and explore more of Vermont tomorrow and Tuesday!

Another scorcher and big news!!

First I'll start off with the big news that I'm finally able to share......I'm going to be an aunt!!!!! My sister and BIL are expecting their first and I know that she is super excited (as am I!) On top of that they closed on their house on Monday which is absolutely fab! Me and Lilly will be going out in late July to help with the decorating since that's the fun stuff!!! Well today is supposed to be just as hot as yesterday and with the air advisory I'm thinking that we'll stay inside where it's nice and cold!!! Thankfully this place seems to stay pretty cool so the AC doesn't stay on constantly. I hate AC, but I hate the heat even more so you do what ya gotta do!!! Other than finishing the laundry I'll be doing some doodling today and maybe I'll throw in a little freebie!!

Our day....

won't amount to much of anything since it's supposed to be over 90 here today....talk about yucko!!! I HATE hot weather....especially when it's humid. Adding to my hatred is the fact that I don't wear shorts. I don't think that I've worn a pair in at least 5 years. I do have to run to the store today and pick up some stuff for Lilly's trip this weekend to Syracuse. I'll certainly miss her, but it will be nice to have a break.....and to sleep in!! Me and Dan might go up to the Northern part of VT and spend the night since we've never really ventured up there.....maybe we'll even stop at Ben & Jerry's and get a big tub 'o ice cream!! Other than that we just plan on relaxing and fly fishing and maybe I'll get a chance to go to all those places that I've wanted to photograph......actually I know I will because I'm going to make it a priority!!! Anyways I hope that everyone has a wonderful day.....I'm off to do the laundry and listen to my updated playlist.....I know I only added one song.....but I love me some Maroon 5 (old stuff.....still trying to get used to the new stuff!!)

A nice, but long weekend!!

I'm back.....and I'm tired!! We left Saturday morning for CT to visit with Dan's grandma and had a wonderful visit! Lillian was getting into everything and putting everything where she thinks it belongs......which is usually on the floor! Then we went to Kylie's birthday party as soon as we got back home yesterday and then finally back home around 8 last night! Needless to say, I'm a little pooped. Lilly had another rough night last night, but we decided to put my rocking chair back to work (which I haven't used since she was almost 4 months) and it seemed to help!

Anyways, I wanted to thank everyone for your wonderful comments on my freebies! I was getting a little down on myself and actually getting a little upset because lets face it.....it takes time to create this stuff and when you see that a lot of people are downloading but not leaving a simple thanks, it gets to you after time! This has been SUCH a long week! Lillian has been quite the handful and has totally pooped me out, but thankfully she's been sleeping in which has been nice! We're heading out to see Dan's grandma for the weekend in CT since she hasn't seen Lillian since we moved in April. Lilly's changed so much since the last time she saw her so it should be a lot of fun!! Anyways, I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Finishing up!

We went over to Grandma Bombria's yesterday for dinner and I thought I would take some pics of Lilly! Today I'm going to finish some things around the house and work on finishing my 2 new releases which I'd like to have finished by tomorrow. Of course, that all depends on whether or not Lilly will allow me too! She's been holding on to me for dear life this past week....I think she has yet another tooth coming through!!!

Itsy, Bitsy, Teenie, Weenie Pink Polka Dot Bikini!! Lillian used her pool for the first time today since it was finally warm enough with the sun out and no rain! She was a little hesitant at first, but warmed up to it more once I put it in the grass and off of the deck. I just love being outdoors and thankfully Lilly does too.....although I do wish it weren't so warm out today but I guess I'll live!!!

Rant of the day!!!

So today me and Dan went all over the place.....got Lillian's new car seat (my big girl :o( ), went to Red Robin for lunch, etc........but first we stopped off at the Cingular store because we wanted to change our number to a Vermont one. So, apparently, none of the major carriers operate in Vermont. We have ONE choice!!!! Apparently it isn't cost effective for the larger companies to set up here because everyone is so spread out and the state's population is so small.....plus when they tried to set up a tower here they would get shot down by the town. So I guess there's a good point and a bad point. It's good that Vermont won't allow these large companies to come in and take over the land and make it all crappy looking, but.....one stinkin' cell phone company!!! Plus the one thing that has me all steamed up is that the guy at Cingular said that we're going to be dropped sooner or later because it's costing them too much to keep us since we have free Nationwide service. So that was our day. Dan is going to work on his truck tomorrow morning and then we're going to go fly fishing later in the day which should be fun and give me a chance to take some pics of Lilly and Dan together in the river!

Still working...

but I'm getting there! I still have some more papers and elements to make, but I should finish up on Sunday since Dan will be spending all day doing something to his truck. So tomorrow will be Father's Day for Dan and I'll let him do whatever he likes.....as long as it involves Lilly of course!

Another long night

Lillian started screaming bloody murder last night around 2 so I brought her downstairs and tried to go back to sleep. She has no problem what so ever falling back asleep once she realizes that I'm there.....it's me that has the problem. She is such a HUGE bed hog!! No matter where I am in the bed, she has to have her head pushed up against me, which is cute and all......but I can't sleep with someone touching me!!! So once she falls into a deep sleep I push her over but of course every time I wake up she's right back where she began! At least we're still just working on the 4 upper right now and I don't see anything new pushing through at the moment.

Today I finally decided to let Lillian play in her sand box......I was a little nervous about her putting her hands in her mouth, but she didn't and she really seemed to enjoy it!

The Wednesday Blues...

The weather is still kind of yucky here, although the temp is just right......I hate it when it gets warmer than 70 out!! I think that I'll finally put the sand in Lilly's sandbox that Aunt Betsy gave her for her birthday and let her play it in later on since the sun might make an appearance. Then later on today we'll stop and see Dan play softball with people from work in Arlington.

So I've been working on a kit and I thought that I would share a little sneak peak of the doodles that I've done so far.....I'm working on the papers and such the rest of the week!

The Lilly report!

Well we're back home and today Lilly went for her 12 month check-up! I must admit that I was a little nervous to find out if Lilly was caught up developmentally and all and I am very happy to report that she is! She is 29 1/2 inches tall and weighs in at 20 lbs 14 oz. She's average for weight and a little above normal for height. I am also very happy that she finally gets to go off the formula and straight to milk which will certainly make it nice that I don't have to go to BJ's every month to get that!! And to top things off.....she's ready to face forward in her car seat!!! I have to figure out if the one we have now is able to do that since it was rated to go up to 30lbs and if not we planned on getting her a new seat next month. I'm kinda torn at this point at which one to get (thinking about a Britax) so if any of you mommy's out there have a suggestion let me know! I'm just so relieved to know that she is doing well......and to know that I'm doing a half way decent job at this mom gig!

Other than that my dad taught me some of the basics with the camera and I'm starting to understand it more. We're going to try and venture out this week and do some more exploring in the VT countryside and take some pics with the stuff I learned. I guess we'll see what the result is and if I even have a chance at taking pics professionally. Anyways, hope that everyone has a wonderful week!

A year ago today

I was admitted to the hospital and two days later I received this little miracle!!! Lillian decided to get into the spice drawer and apparently she had a sweet tooth and wanted some powdered sugar! We're just doing some cleaning today since it's raining out once again and I'm going to do some more reading on photography stuff. Just a layout I did on Friday of our adventures at the park. I'm suffering today from all of the black fly bites that I got.....I hate those things! Yesterday we decided to venture out and went to the Vermont Country Store in Weston and picked up some cool stuff. Then we headed over to Rutland and went to the farmers market and then got something to eat. It was a nice drive, although it was really hazy out and the visibility wasn't the greatest. I'm not sure what our plans are today, but it's supposed to rain once again so probably nothing major!
